BIG BROTHER HALO FORGE EMBROIDERY SCISSORS THAT MEN WILL LOVE

SUMMARY
Elegant, lightweight, well-made black matte embroidery scissors that cut well and feel nice in your hand even though the finger holes are slightly smaller than average.
OVERVIEW
These Halo Forge 3.5-inch embroidery scissors have a gorgeous black matte finish with the company name in light lettering on the outside of one blade. The finish is smooth everywhere and the overall design is simple and elegant.
The finger holes are also smooth and nicely finished and just big enough to be comfortable. The one extra millimeter in length makes a big difference.
Most embroidery scissors are about 3.5 inches in overall length and these are no exception. The pivot-to-tip length is just under 1.5 inches, and the finger holes measure 0.6 x 0.8 inches (17 x 21 mm). Even though they weigh only 14 grams (our second lightest pair), they feel substantial in hand.

The Halo Forge information indicates that the entire scissor is forged from stainless steel and looking at them closely, each half does appear to be one solid piece of metal.
TESTING RESULTS
Just like their smaller 2.5-inch version, these scissors struggled with the thicker beading cords, soutache, and 1/8th-inch rat-tail cording. However, they cut double-layer cotton ¼-inch seam allowances cleanly and easily.
They were still able to snip single stitches in a seam, but they had to be slightly bigger stitches due to the scissor tips not being quite as fine as those in the smaller version.
MY IMPRESSIONS

I love the black matte finish, the simple, yet elegant lines, and that extra millimeter in finger hole length made them comfortable to use with my larger-than-average women’s fingers. Overall, they seem substantial and well-made.
I think most male sewers will love them unless they have very large fingers.
BEST USES
CONCLUSION
If you are looking for a pair of finely crafted black embroidery scissors, you will love the Halo Forge 3.5-inch embroidery scissors for cutting thread, yarn, floss, and clipping seams. If you have large fingers you might find another pair with larger finger holes more comfortable.
